I've finished one book and will finish another today. One, Incredibly Bright Creatures, and the second, I See You've Called in Dead, both happen to be about learning to live with death. One heartfelt and with an octopus and older woman as as the main characters and the other with a sarcastic mid-life man in crisis written with laugh aloud humor but heart shining through.
Each with the idea that we need to find peace and joy in the little things in life. We focus on the big problems and the big moments, but it's those bits that make up our lives and give us beauty to hang on to.
Life happens and pain and loss are there, but so is so much more. Corny, I know, but true, too.
