New Yorker's.
At our last Skunkfest in South Carolina, we bought a number of art pieces from a singer we'd seen the previous spring. Funny and talented, I'd snuck up to empty chairs in the front row to truly enjoy Aaron Raitiere.
Talking to him, that May, I'd bought his CD, and then finding out he went to Cornell and still came this way once in a while, we exchanged phone numbers. He was just a nice guy.
But then the following May, Aaron also had his artwork there. Now, months later I've finally gotten them framed and matted, by a professional, thank goodness, and just last week put up in the hallway.
Every time I go up or down, I now get to look at wonderful artwork while also thinking of all the great times we've had at numerous festivals in the past five or so years. Aaron wasn't there last month, but I'm thinking it's because he's making a name for himself. We missed him but wish him the best.
Our gallery wall looks great, though, don't you think?
I Agree!
